To make the PSA happen required the generous contributions of money and time of many individuals and organizations.

Partnerships and coalitions make greater things possible. This project is about building bridges - make sure to check out the organizations and events in Esther's section of the web site to build your own partnerships and get involved.

The Trees Are My Friends campaign was funded by a grant from the USDA Forest Service

  • For the 2001 campaign kick-off celebration in Boston, space was provided by Tufts Hillel and refreshments by Ionics, Sweetberry Catering, Kupel's Bakery and Catering By Andrews. The event featured master storyteller Tim Womick of the National Tree Trust, and also included the talent of the acoustic guitar duo Marun, the Traveling Treasure Trunk theater group, Eagle Eye staff and participants in EEI's Rainbow Stewards program. The evening was made complete by a screening of the 'Trees Are My Friends' television public service announcement, plus Irish and Hungarian folk music and African drumming and dancing. Event staff included the Rainbow Stewards, members of Tufts ECO and the Tufts Gardening Club, and students Marianne Chow, Meena Jagannath, Patrick Murray and Jenna Sirkin, who completed internships with Eagle Eye through Tufts University's Peace and Justice Studies program.
