Board Members

Anthony Sánchez

Anthony Sanchez  is the Board President and co-founder of Eagle Eye Institute. He was the volunteer Executive Director for 13 years and in 2003 he received the Massachusetts Governors Points of Light award for his volunteerism. As Eagle Eye Board President he helps to guide the organization, raise money and build strategic partnerships. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of The Trustees of Reservations, the oldest land conservation organization in the country, and assists them with their diversity initiative.  Anthony is also a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program.  Anthony was a Boston Eureka Fellow and a member of the Leadership Team for the National Grassroots Summit that focused on national urban and community tree issues.

MaJa Kietzke

Treasurer, Executive Leadership Team member. Co-founded Eagle Eye Institute in 1990. Founder and director of The Travel Specialists, a for profit travel business that specializes in responsible tourism.

Chris Cato

Chris Cato is the Green Initiative Project Manager for YouthBuild USA. Chris's primary role is to support the Greening process for YouthBuild programs throughout the United States.  Chris is currently assisting with the development of a "green agenda" for Massachusetts YouthBuild Coalition, and has implemented demonstration and planning projects that promote the building affordable Green Homes, increase awareness of renewable energy technologies as a pathway to prepare young adults to become a part of the new green economy.

Chris has over 25 years of management experience in youth and community development with a focus on environmental awareness and responsibility. Understanding that we all have an important role in relation to our environment, it has been Chris' mission to increase access to opportunities, build awareness and develop environmental leaders within low-income urban communities.

Chris is a member for the Board of Directors of Eagle Eye Institute, (Eagle Eye uses the power of nature to transform urban youth) a Corporate Advisory Board member for the Trustees Of The Reservations (one of the oldest and largest private land conservation and preservation organizations) the United South End Settlements, Camp Hale Alumni Association (executive committee), a member of the Advisory Board for the Appalachian Mountain Club's, Youth Opportunities Program

Bill Labich

Regional Conservationist, Highstead, Inc. Redding, CT. Advancing regional- and landscape-scale forest conservation in southern New England and eastern New York through enhanced collaboration among diverse interests. Land Plannner and Forester; Contributes to overall program development. Involved with Eagle Eye Institute since 1993.

Kenneth Gooch

Forest Health Specialist, MA Department of Conservation & Recreation, Pittsfield, MA. Arborist; Assists Eagle Eye in building partnerships with natural resource professionals to provide educational assistance, internships, and job opportunities for youth. Involved with Eagle Eye Institute since 1994.

Widmine Remy

Form Eagle Eye program staff, currently a second year law student at Suffolk University. Assists Eagle Eye with program development.

David Russell

Boston area private education tutor. Has participated at Eagle Eye's Annual Hike-A-Thon for three years. Recently joined the board and plans to assist with fundraising.
